Steve is a freelance producer and filmmaker. He got his start in environmental and expedition filmmaking while working for the Banff Center in 2014 - where he collaborated with artists, filmmakers, scientists, and athletes from around the world.

From 2015-2018 his work took an international turn while working at the acclaimed outdoor + extreme sports production company Sherpas Cinema before transitioning to full time freelance in 2019. He worked on over 40+ commercial and original film projects in over 20 countries in that time period for clients as diverse as National Geographic, Google, The North Face, Thule, Destination British Columbia, and countless others. Throughout his time at Sherpas Cinema he contributed to work that screened and garnered awards at festivals like Banff Mountain Film Festival, Cannes, Vimeo Best of the Year, National Geographic Short Film Showcase and VIMFF.

Steve has traveled extensively through the world’s mountainous regions - both witnessing and uncovering stories of culture, athleticism, and climatic changes in ranges as diverse as the British Columbia Coastal Range, the Canadian and American Rockies, the Karakoram, Himalaya, Andes, Iceland, and the Alps.

Steve’s passion for telling human stories of climatic change is honed by his ability to execute high-end film projects from start to finish - for both world-class brands and grassroots creative projects. Most recently, he co-directed and produced a four part virtual reality series for National Geographic in 2019.

In early 2020, Steve founded Arcade Motion, a production company that tells stories for environmentally responsible brands, tourism organizations, and original documentary films. Arcade Motion follows the green production guidelines from the PGA and offsets 150% of its greenhouse emissions.

Steve graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in Radio and Television Arts in 2012.
